Jerri Anderson, 85, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at 11:30 a.m. at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Born August 8, 1939, she was the daughter of Salvatore (South) F. and Ada (Shields) Bellush. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1957 and retired from General Motors in 1992. Jerri married Bill (Herbie) Anderson on August 15, 1980.
Survivors include her husband, Bill (Herbie) Anderson; a son, Brian (Shari) Payne; grandchildren, Jordan (Lindsey) Kinser, Sydney (Colin) Greeley- Payne, Jared Payne, Grace, and Faith St. John; great-granddaughters, Ella and Maddie; a brother, Jim Bellush; many nieces, nephews, several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Also preceding her death was her brother, John “Buck” Bellush; sisters, Janet “Wass” Bellush and Johann Klumpp; two sisters-in-law, Becky Bellush and Diane Bellush; and a brother-in-law, Gus Klumpp.
Jerri’s greatest joys were her son, Brian, and grandchildren. She and Herbie spent many weekends watching Jordan racing and traveling to watch Sydney play softball and Jared playing football. She was an avid Cowboys football fan and never missed a game. Jerri loved her family fiercely and will be missed dearly by them.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Suzanne Fountaine officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
