Vote By Mail Process

Request an absentee-by-mail application from the Lawrence County Clerk Office by calling 812-277-2036

Lawrence County registered voters, can elect to cast their vote by mail.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Applications must be received by Lawrence County Registration by Thursday, May 21, 2020.

If you would like to request an absentee-by-mail application, call 812-277-2036 or 812-275-4143 and request an application. Or go online to https://indianavoters.in.gov/MVPHOME/PrintDocuments to print, select a party, sign, and mail to:

Early In-Person Voting Locations

The following locations are made available to registered Lawrence County voters for early voting, PRIOR to the June 2, 2020 election day.  As a reminder, you no longer have to vote at your precinct. A registered Lawrence County resident can vote at ANY of these centers (with a valid ID)

Due to COVID-19 and to ensure social distancing while voting and to comply with CDC guidelines, the early voting locations have been moved to the following:

Courthouse Plaza – 918 16th Street, Suite 200 (previously Work One), Bedford, IN

  • Tuesday, May 26, 2020 through Friday, May 29, 2020 – 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Saturday, May 30, 2020 – 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Monday, June 1, 2020 – 8:30am-Noon

Mitchell Community Center – 101 Tom Green Drive, Mitchell, IN

  • Saturday, May 30, 2020 – 8:30am-3:30pm

Election Day Voting Centers

Due to COVID-19 the Lawrence County Election Board has limited Voting Center locations. We will comply with all CDC recommendations and guidelines to minimize public health risks.

As a reminder, you no longer have to vote at your precinct. A registered Lawrence County resident can vote at ANY of these centers (with a valid ID)

  • Lawrence County Courthouse
  • Parkview Intermediate School
  • Needmore Elementary School
  • Mitchell Community Center

Polls open 6:00am-6:00pm on June 2, 2020
