She was originally sentenced to 1,825 days, with 720 suspended. The judge ordered Carie to spend 1,095 of those days on home detention.

However, Carie committed multiple violations of her home detention and was arrested later on a charge of escape which revoked her probation.

Because of these violations and the new charge, Judge Cline sentenced Carie to 1,200 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections.

Prosecutor Sam Arp

“When individuals fail to follow the terms of probation and commit new offenses while being given the opportunity to remain in the community, they know the consequences of their actions, and in this case, it is prison,” said Lawrence County Prosecutor Samuel C. Arp, II.
