Seymour man arrested for child molestation

SEYMOUR – A Seymour man is facing a child molestation charge.

Chad Shouse, 42, was arrested on felony charges of child molesting and obstruction of justice.

According to Seymour Police Lt. C.J. Foster, detectives began their investigation on May 22, 2022, after receiving a complaint from the mother of a 9-year-old that claimed they had been molested in the area of South Broadway Street in Seymour

Detectives with the department along with investigators from the Jackson County Office of the Indiana Department of Child Services collected evidence and information related to the case.

During that investigation, Shouse was identified as the suspect and was interrogated by police, and arrested on Wednesday at 8:07 p.m.

He is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail without bond.
