MCCSC summer food program begins on Monday

BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County Community School Corporation is partnering with the USDA Summer Food Service Program for children to help bridge the gap during the summer months when National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program meals are not available.  

Meals are provided for any child and teen up to and including age 18, and are available at two convenient downtown Bloomington locations; no cost or enrollment is required. 

Beginning Monday, June 6, and running through Thursday, July 14 MCCSC food service staff will be providing meals for the community at the following times and locations:

Fairview Elementary School
500 W. 7th Street
All meals served in the cafeteria
Breakfast: Monday – Thursday 9:10am-9:40am
Lunch: Monday – Thursday: 12:45pm-1:15pm
No meal service on Monday, June 20. 
* Fairview will discontinue meal service on June 30*

Templeton Elementary School
1400 S. Brenda Lane
All meals served in the cafeteria
Breakfast: Monday – Thursday 9:10am-9:40pm
Lunch: Monday-Thursday: 12:00pm-12:30pm
No meal service on Monday, June 20, or Monday, July 4
