Department of Revenue will soon mail tax bills to customers

INDIANA – The Department of Revenue will soon mail tax bills to customers who owe Indiana Individual Income tax for 2021.

If you know you owe, you can pay the full or partial amount or set up a payment plan before DOR sends you a bill. Paying your tax liability as soon as possible may reduce the total amount you’d pay over time and help avoid extra fees and penalties.

If you would like to pay your bill in full using your checking account or major credit card, you can do so 24/7 using INTIME, DOR’s new e-services portal. Follow the step-by-step instructions on how to Make a Bill Payment Without Logging in to INTIME, then go to INTIME to make your payment.

Checking your balance online or setting up a payment plan requires signing up for or logging in to INTIME — this means you’ll need to create an INTIME logon. Get started by following the step-by-step instructions on how to Create an INTIME Logon to walk you through this process.

Once you’ve created an INTIME logon, you can simply follow the step-by-step instructions on how to Set Up a Payment Plan with INTIME and you’ll be all set.

If you wish to add a new liability to an existing payment plan, please contact Customer Service.

Visit DOR’s Payments and Billing page for more information.

If you have a question about your bill or other notice you receive from DOR, use the “Respond to a Letter, Notice or Bill” option in INTIME (available after login) rather than “Send a Message.” This will help DOR representatives research your issue and provide a faster response. See the INTIME User Guide for Individual Income Tax Customers for more information on these and other features.
