Bedford Board of Works approves requests during Monday meeting

BEDFORD – The Bedford Board of Works approved minor subdivision requests and an easement agreement Monday afternoon.

Planning/Zoning Director Brandon Woodward

Planning/Zoning Director Brandon Woodward then addressed the board for the approval a minor subdivision at 1402 2nd Street which was previously approved by the Bedford Plan Commission on Tuesday, May 10th. The next step for this request was for approval by the Board of Works for the property to be split into two parcels. The board approved this request.

Also during the May 10th meeting, an amendment was needed for a minor subdivision at the Southern Fields Subdivision. The previous approval had the Street listed as Southern Fields Drive, but needed to be corrected to Lucy Lane. The Plan Commission approved the change and sent it to the Board of Works for final approval, which was also granted.

Finally, Misty Adams requested an easement agreement as a part of the $300,000 Riley Lift Station Elimination Project. This agreement will go through a part of a property owned by Christopher and Carissa Sinnett. The deal would pay the Sinnett’s $3,000, and the trees and ground ripped up from the project will be replaced. This will save the city nearly $700,000 for the project.
