Domestic dispute ends with a chipped tooth and a battery arrest

MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrested after Mitchell Police officers received a report of an injured woman. The caller reported Kristapher Canfield was being abusive to a female and had chipped her tooth.

Officers went to the home in the 220 block of West Main Street when they learned that Canfield had been in a domestic dispute. Canfield had hit the woman in the mouth with his elbow chipping her tooth. The woman then fled the house and went to a neighbor’s house. A child was present during the dispute.

Canfield was arrested on charges of domestic battery and domestic battery in the presence of a child.
