SHOALS – A Martin County Sheriff’s Department deputy has resigned following his arrest for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Chief Deputy Josh Green confirmed to WTHI that Deputy Rob Lents was arrested on Monday night. He was off duty at the time of his arrest.
Chief Deputy Green confirmed Deputy Lents resigned from the department, effective immediately. Lents joined the Sheriff’s Department in 2018.
WBIW reached out to the Martin County Prosecutor’s Office for the release of further information on the incident, however the request was denied.
