William Frances Turk Sr., 99, of Paoli, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.
He was born on May 24, 1921, in Maple Park, Illinois, he was the son of Henry and Marie Turk. He was a 1938 graduate of Maple Park High School, was a veteran of the US Navy in World War II, he retired from Kimball International in 1991, he was instrumental in starting the First Chance Center in Paoli and served on the Board of directors for many years. He married Phyllis Meyers and she preceded him in death on March 24, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, William F. Turk, Jr. and Michael P. Turk of Cincinnati, Ohio, one daughter, Elizabeth J. Baker of Paoli, one brother, James Turk of Maple Park, Illinois, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Kenneth P. Turk, and a great-grandchild.
Private graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford.
