Barr-Reeve School Renovations Nearing Completion

(MONTGOMERY) – Barr-Reeve Schools Superintendent Dr. Travis Madison says renovations at the school have moved forward in the midst of COVID-19.

Madison says the pandemic has enabled crews to start projects sooner because children were not at the school.

“It has provided us a little more flexibility,” he added.

This renovation will allow students to be under one roof.

The project includes a new gym, new classrooms, and a new HVAC system. Teachers will begin moving into new classrooms next week.

As for students, the 2020 senior class will be the first to use the new gym when they graduate in July.

Barr-Reeve announced graduation is tentatively set for Friday, July 17.

The junior/senior prom is tentatively set for Saturday, July 18.

The senior trip to Holiday World is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 19.

Current students will have to wait until after the project is completed in August.
