(WEST BADEN) – An 80-year-old woman was located following a search early this morning after she wandered from her residence barefooted.
Emergency workers responded to County Road 590 West, a half-mile north of U.S. 150 just east of West Baden, around 3:50 a.m. today. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department, local volunteer fire departments, and Orange County EMS responded to the area.
Then, around 4:45 a.m., Lawrence County Search & Rescue was dispatched to assist in the search to try and locate the elderly female.
The woman was located around 6 a.m. according to emergency officials. She was not injured.
