Larry Dale Kern, 75, of Bedford passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at IU Health Hospital-Bloomington.
Born December 20, 1944, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Dale and Annie (Mills) Kern.
He married Betty Treece on September 5, 1964, and she survives.
He was a maintenance electrician at Cummins and Visteon. He also started Kern Tax Service. He graduated from Bedford High School Class of 1962 and was a veteran of the United States Army as well as a past member of the Eagles. After retirement, he enjoyed piecing together quilts. Larry loved to read, travel, and play golf.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; children, Connie (Joe) Cunningham, David (Ann) Kern, Dana (Joy) Kern; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Way and Larry D. Way as well as many other siblings, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Cleveland; several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020, and 10 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel with Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
