  • 12:18 p.m. Report of a suspicious person 2300 block of 29th Street
  • 11:44 a.m. Report of a theft in the 2300 block of 29th Street
  • 9:20 a.m. Medical emergency in the 2310 block of I Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 7:48 a.m. Medical emergency in the 2110 block N Street. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 1:21 a.m. Officers were out with a person at O and 18th streets

Accidents – April 7

  • 8:15 p.m. Property damage accident with a vehicle leaving the scene at Jay C Plus
  • 2:37 p.m. Property damage accident at State Road 37 and 16th Street. The driver was cited for driving while driver’s license suspended

  • 7:30 a.m. 911 call hang up in Harrodsburg. It was an accidental call
  • 7:47 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1010 block of West Brook Street. A 75-year-old female was suffering a possible stroke
  • 7:55 a.m. Controlled fire in the 1560 block of Leesville Road
  • 8:28 a.m. Controlled fire at Grandma Barnes Road at Apple Acres
  • 8:44 a.m. Controlled fire in the 300 block of Main Street
  • 9:52 a.m. Citizen assist in the 150 block of Benham Lane. The caller reported 12 fence post were missing
  • 10:36 a.m. Report of a calf in the roadway on Gasline Road, south of Sieboldt Quarry Road. Animal control could not find the cow
  • 10:42 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 570 block of Teke Burton Road. It was an accidental call
  • 10:47 a.m. Request for a welfare check at State Road 37 and River Bridge Road. A teenage female was sitting on the bridge. The female was just out for a walk 
  • 11:37 a.m. Request for  a welfare check in the 150 block of Woodville Road. The male was fine
  • 12:14 p.m. Request for a welfare check at the Dollar Store in Oolitic. A 4-year-old was in a vehicle in a car seat alone. The child was not in distress. The mother was with the child now
  • 12:18 p.m. Report of vandalism on Locust Road at the bridge. Juveniles were spray painting graffiti on the bridge
  • 12:20 p.m. 911 call at the Marathon station. A truck at the pumps was on fire. Bedford Fire Department responded
  • 1:44 p.m. Controlled fire in the 380 block of South Meridian Road
  • 1:54 p.m. Lift assist in the 1010 block of West Brook Street
  • 2:55 pm. 911 call in the 560 block of State Road 458. It was an accidental call
  • 3:12 p.m. Agency assist with a Perry County deputy in the 600 block of Leatherwood Road. A female at the home has been harassing a couple over a dog that she got from them two months ago. The female did not live at the home but in Bartholomew County
  • 3:29 p.m. Traffic stop at Third Street and Hoosier Avenue
  • 3:34 p.m. Medical emergency in the 460 block of Art Gallery Road. A person was unconscious. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 3:43 p.m. Controlled fire in the 280 block of Erie Church Road
  • 3:48 p.m. Report of an unwanted male at a home in the 1210 block of State Road 37, north of the drive-in theater
  • 4:05 p.m. Controlled fire in the 3140 block of State Road 158
  • 4:20 p.m. Report of a protective order violation at Smoker Friendly in Mitchell
  • 6:34 p.m. 911 call hang up in the 600 block of Sorrells Road. It was an accidental call
  • 4:38 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a blue Pontiac at Johnny Junxions
  • 5 p.m. Citizen assist at Hoosier Hills Credit Union in Mitchell. A pouch containing needles was found
  • 5:23 p.m. Report of an abandoned vehicle in the 100 block of Oolitic Road
  • 5:40 p.m. 911 call in the 2110 block of N Street. The male who was ill and having shortness of breath was attempting to reach Hoosier Uplands and that he needed help and wanted to also get a hold of Older’s Americans in Orleans 
  • 6:32 p.m. Medical emergency in the 470 block of Sportsman Club Road. A 94-year-old male was having a possible stroke. An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded
  • 6:38 p.m. 911 call in the 160 block of Twin Ponds Road. It was an accidental call
  • 7:04 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 58 West and Shawswick Station Road
  • 5:16 p.m. Citizen assist in the 140 block of State Road 158. The caller was having a property dispute with their neighbors. The caller said she was picking up sticks and the male neighbor was on his porch screaming at her that he was getting a gun and going to kill her. She was then mowing near the property line and the male was standing in front of her shed completely naked
  • 7:17 p.m. 911 call in the 70 block of Oakwood Drive. It was an accidental call
  • 7:23 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a 6-year-old child in the 20 block of Fleetwood Addition. Police were unable to make contact with the child
  • 7:48 p.m. 911 call in the 310 block of Wolf Creek Road. It was an accidental call
  • 8:16 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 300 block of Brinegar Drive because of speeding vehicles
  • 8:56 p.m. 911 call in the 1100 block of Becky’s Place A 47-year-old female suffering heart failure was having trouble breathing
  • 8:57 p.m. Citizen dispute in the 2830 block of Leatherwood Road. A male is riding 4-wheelers on his property and cutting his fences and the caller is out trying to gather his cattle that got out
  • 9:11 p.m. A person was at the Mitchell Police Department to report a sex offense
  • 9:17 p.m. 911 call hang up in the 180 block of North Lafayette Avenue. A child was playing with the phone
  • 9:39 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in the 1380 block of Stevens Lane. A male was sleeping when someone came in his front door and his dog barked and the male ran back out the front door and towards Rabbitsville Road. Police checked the area and could not find the male
  • 9:42 p.m. Traffic stop at Hearth and Pleasant Run roads
  • 10:18 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 10 block of Lakeside Estates
  • 11 p.m. EMS was placed on standby for Orange County
  • 11:30 p.m. Traffic stop at Shawswick Station and Erie Church roads
  • 11:55 p.m. Traffic stop in the 3960 block of State Road 37 at the Marathon station

  • 12:05 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Road
  • 12:26 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Road
  • 12:58 a.m. Report of a suspicious person in the 20 block of Hoosier Avenue. A male has been walking aimlessly in the area for several hours now. The male is now southbound on Hoosier Avenue. Police could not find the male
  • 1:05 a.m. Report of a suspicious person at Roots RV
  • 1:10 a.m Report of a tree in the roadway at US 50 West and Watson Merry Road
  • 1:40 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Hancock Avenue
  • 1:49 a.m. EMS was placed on standby for Orange County
  • 3:19 a.m. Disable vehicle at State Road 37 at the dealerships
  • 3:27 a.m. Disabled vehicle at Williams Road at Port Williams Road. The vehicle was towed. A gun was also found in the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle showed up while officers were on the scene. The vehicle was now running and the towing company was compensated for their time
  • 3:30 a.m. An officer stopped a male walking at State Road 37 and Fifth Street. A male was walking in the roadway. He was told to stay out of the road
  • 4:09 a.m. Report of a suspicious person at Lakeside Estates in Mitchell. A male is in the back corner of the addition
  • 4:52 a.m. Report of a suspicious person at State Road 37 at Salt Creek bridge. A male was laying on the side of the roadway on the ground
  • 4:56 a.m. Domestic fight in the 600 block of West 9th Street in Oolitic. A female reported her boyfriend has thrown her out of the bed and is destroying her property. He then fled the apartment
