  • 7:56 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 54 at the Avoca Minimart
  • 8:22 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 54 at the Avoca Post Office. A citation was issued for speeding
  • 9:20 a.m. Medical emergency in the 610 block of North Jackson Road. A female fell
  • 9:46 a.m. Traffic stop on Old State Road 37 at Mr. C’s
  • 10:03 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at West Main Street

  • 10:40 a.m. 911 call from Walmart. Bedford Police were alerted. A male stole money from a child. It was a false report. No man stole money from the child. The child was attempting to get more money from his mother
  • 10:42 a.m.  Chimney fire in the 1100 block of West Main Street
  • 11:17 a.m. Report of a door open at the Half Moon Dumpster site on State Road 60 West. Police said both gates were secure but the door to the shack was partially open 
  • 11:41 a.m. Controlled fire in the 150 block of Burkwood Hills Lane
  • 11:42 a.m. Report of a door open on a home in the 430 block of West Oak Street
  • 12:12 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a gray Chevrolet on State Road 60 West at the Martin County line. Police were unable to locate the vehicle
  • 12:28 p.m. Request for animal control in the 400 block of West Grissom Avenue. For dogs with no food, water or shelter. Police had animal control come and get two dogs
  • 12:43 p.m. Theft of a gold 2000 Honda Accord in the 7760 block of Bartlettsville Road
  • 12:59 p.m. A woman reported she and her husband had an argument on Saturday and he left with the three kids to go to his mother’s house somewhere on Reuter Lane and she wants officers to check on them. Police contacted the male by phone and found the home was in the 980 block of Reuter Lane. The male does not want to talk to the female but she can call and speak to the children whenever she wants
  • 1:28 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of Maple Leaf Road requested extra patrols after someone attempted to break in and damaged the door
  • 1:29 p.m. Request for animal control to State Road 446, north of State Road 58 for two black cows out
  • 1:38 p.m. 911 call from Scottsburg. Indiana State Police was alerted
  • 1:56 p.m. Request for animal control at State Road 446 and State Road 58 because of a cattle near the roadway
  • 2:18 p.m. Domestic fight in the 710 block of Glendale Way. A female was asked to leave the home
  • 2:23 p.m. Request for animal control to the 170 block of Diamond Street for two St. Bernards running loose and being aggressive
  • 3:06 p.m. Report of unsafe shooting in the 180 block of Empire Lane. Police found no issue
  • 3:06 p.m. 911 call at Mitchell Manor. There was no issue
  • 3:14 p.m. Medical emergency in the 3320 block of Tunnelton Road. A 75-year-old male was unconscious
  • 3:18 p.m. Request for animal control to the 1960 block of Buddha Bypass for a stray German Shephard
  • 3:23 p.m. Medical emergency in the first block of Windy Lane. A 54-year-old male was having an allergic reaction
  • 4:17 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 2010 block of South Meridian Road

  • 5:19 p.m. A female was at the Mitchell Police Department to report a dispute with her kid’s father and saying he is refusing to get out of her car. The male was given a ride back to his home in Oolitic 
  • 5:35 p.m. A woman was on station to report a domestic fight in the 890 block of Dixie Highway and reported that her boyfriend took the sticker off her plate to her truck and was wanting to speak to an officer
  • 5:42 p.m. 911 call in the 140 block of Ridge Road. It was an accidental call
  • 5:46 p.m. Request for a welfare check at CVS Pharmacy in Mitchell
  • 5:50 p.m. 911 call in the first block of Meadow Moor Way. A child was playing with the phone
  • 6:30 p.m. Report of a gas spill at 60’s East Side in Mitchell
  • 6:38 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a possibly suicidal male in the 7160 block of State Road 158. No one was at the home
  • 6:51 a.m. Medical emergency at Wheeler Mission in Monroe County
  • 6:58 p.m. Battery in the 4410 block of Leesville Road
  • 7:38 p.m. A motorist reported another driver struck his mirrors while passing at Meadows Church Road at State Road 446
  • 7:41 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of East Hancock Avenue reported a male struck her stepson and is requesting to speak to an officer. The male was arrested
  • 7:43 p.m. A male in the 210 block of Gas Line Road reported his girlfriend hit him multiple times yesterday but he does not want to press charges. He is returning to the residence and doesn’t know what he is walking into and wants the information logged
  • 8:07 p.m. A resident in the 1100 block of Orchard Street reported their cars were broken into within the last three hours and a purse was taken and found in the alley
  • 8:11 p.m. Report of a dead deer in the roadway in the 1450 block of State Road 50 West
  • 8:12 p.m. Officers were out with a person at North 7th and West Brook streets
  • 8:25 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Dixie Highway
  • 8:43 p.m. Traffic stop at Mitchell Road and M Street
  • 8:47 p.m. Report of a male trespassing in the 460 block of Kentucky Hollow Road
  • 9:04 p.m. Document service in the 320 block of Bartlett Drive
  • 9:51 p.m. 911 call hangup at an unknown location
  • 10:16 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Hancock Avenue

  • 10:52 p.m. Dispute between neighbors in the 200 block of East Grissom Avenue. The caller says her neighbor came to her home and made posts on Facebook has threatened to beat her up because she has a problem with her outdoor cats and she wants this logged in case the neighbor comes back
  • 10:54 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1220 block of Spencer Pike Road. The caller says his parents are arguing and have been drinking

  • 12:03 a.m. Report of two people attempting to break into the old school in the 230 block of Indiana Avenue. They are in a yellow truck and then took off. Police found on entry to the building
  • 12:04 a.m. Report of a battery at the jail. A male got punched in the eye
  • 12:07 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at the Oolitic light
  • 12:55 a.m. Follow up investigation at Johnny Junxions
  • 4:11 a.m. Medical emergency in the 120 block of The Woods. A 71-year-old was suffering extreme stomach pain
