14-Year-Old Arrested After Punching Woman in Face

(BEDFORD) – On Tuesday, a Bedford teen was arrested after Bedford Police were called to the area near Revere’s Food & Fuel just before 4 p.m.

“We received information that a female was hitting another female inside a vehicle,” said Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. “When officers arrived they found a female standing beside an Indiana State Police trooper’s vehicle with blood on her face.”

The victim told police that she was driving when a female juvenile passenger began hitting her in the face.

“The victim pulled over near Jim Day’s furniture and was still getting hit by the accused until an unknown female opened the door and told the accused to stop. The accused got out of the vehicle and started walking away from the area.”

Officers got a clothing description and picked up the 14-year-old female a short time later.

“The victim complained of pain to her head and had visible signs of injuries to her right arm and blood coming from her nose and mouth,” Chief Moore added.

Juvenile probation was alerted and the teen was transported to the Johnson County Juvenile Center on charges of battery causing bodily injury and criminal mischief.
