Lt. Governor Crouch Announces New Additions to Team

(STATEHOUSE) – Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch today announced that Sara Broadwater has been hired as Communications Director and Thomas Barclay has been hired as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs.

In her new role, Sara Broadwater will act as the spokesperson for the Lt. Governor and will be responsible for all media requests, communications strategy, and management of social media accounts.

Prior to joining the team, Broadwater worked in Washington, D.C., as the Communications Director for U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX) and served as the Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. She started her career working in Boston, Massachusetts, for Procter & Gamble after graduating from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is a Hoosier native, growing up on the north side of Indianapolis and later Valparaiso.

In his new role, Thomas Barclay will act as the liaison between the Lt. Governor and state and local legislators and government.

Previously, Barclay worked as U.S. Senator Todd Young’s District Director where he handled community affairs and federal relations for constituents in the fourth and eighth congressional districts. Prior to that role, he also served as Field Director for the Todd Young for U.S. Senate campaign. Barclay is a graduate of Penn State University where he received a degree in political science. He is also a Hoosier native, growing up in Bargersville and now residing in Greenwood with his wife, Cassie.
