(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to the 1000 block of 17th Street after receiving a call about a domestic fight in the 1200 block of 15th Street.
According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, a woman told police she was having a conversation with 25-year-old Arron Land inside his apartment when he became upset and started yelling at her.
“The victim said that Mr. Land hit her with an open hand on the face, backed off and came at her again,” Chief Moore added. “The victim was able to push Mr. Land away from her, and a witness stepped in between them. The victim said that Mr. Land picked up a belt and threatened more harm.”
While the woman was on the phone with police, Land left the apartment.
The woman signed a battery affidavit and officers him a block south of the apartment, and he was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
