Shirley Mary Ann Fanger, 83, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at her residence.
Born June 27, 1935, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary Donlon. She married Norman Eugene Fanger on June 11, 1955, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2001. Shirley was a homemaker and military wife. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a past member of the Bloomington American Legion. Shirley loved playing bingo, shopping, gardening, and fishing and camping with her family.
Surviving are her children, Noreen Fanger, Mary Beth Frye, Michael (Cindy) Fanger, Mollie (Ron) Watson, and Kattie Johnson; grandchildren, Julia Heatherly, Laura Heatherly, Tommy Heatherly, Chase Cleveland, Michael Fanger, Mary Fanger, Ronnie Watson, Marissa Watson, Garrett Watson, Serena Watson, Garron Watson, Lilly Watson, Sophia Watson, Kayln Tincher, and Kaden Tincher; great-grandchild, Liam Michael Harkness; brother, Jack Donlon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; three grandchildren, Thomas Allen Heatherly, Michael Gene Heatherly, and Savanna Watson; and siblings, Tom and Maureen.
Mass of Christian Burial will at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
