Anna Grace Watson – Bedford
September 16, 1923 – November 21, 2016
Anna Grace Watson, 93, of Bedford, died at 7:40 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2016 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born September 16, 1923, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Floyd and Edna (Swango) Watson. She graduated from Oolitic High School and was a member of the Oolitic United Methodist Church. She retired from the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Office after working for thirty-five years.
Survivors include two brothers, Louis Watson of Oolitic and Dean Watson and wife, Aggie, of Lafayette; two nephews, Keith Watson, of Oolitic and Eric Watson, of Lafayette; close friend, Mae Myers, of Bedford; several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Kent Watson, and a special friend, Harold Bartlett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday, November 25th and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, November 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Carl S. Stanger Jr. – Mitchell
March 27, 1926 – November 20, 2016
Carl S. Stanger Jr., 90, of Mitchell, died at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, at I. U. Health Hospice House, Bloomington.
Born March 27, 1926, in Martinsville, IN, he was the son of Carl and Garnet (Leachman) Stanger. He married Janet Kay Ward on November 17, 1956; she died April 10, 2016. Carl was a veteran of WW-II, serving in the Navy, in Okinawa. He retired as assistant Chief on the Martinsville Police Dept. Carl loved and served the Lord his entire life.
Surviving are four sons, Randy (Linda) Stanger, Param Stanger, Ram Stanger and Jacob Ezra Stanger; five daughters, Audrey (Michael) Porter, Vicki (Dave) O’Hara, Carla (John) Spurgeon, Leah (Bob) Reynolds and Dawn (Roger) Bolden; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Adrian Stanger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; two brothers, Harold and William Stanger; and two sisters, Lida Roland and Jerra Gadd-Jones.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 25, at the Pavilion at Padanaram. Burial will be in Holy Ground Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. Thursday, at the Pavilion at Padanaram.
