Irene Juanita Ray – Bedford
Irene Juanita Ray, 93, formerly of Bedford, died Friday, February 06, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Connersville, IN.
Born January 26, 1922 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Carl and Faye (Anderson) Fry. She married Linvel Ray on June 21, 1941 and he preceded her in death. She had worked in the North Lawrence Community School System for thirteen years. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church, she taught Sunday school for over 50 years, and was a past church deaconess.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Moffett of Connersville; a grandson, Kyle Moffett of Connersville; nieces and nephews: David Houpt, Patty Byers, Larry Benbow, Nancy Merchen, and several others; cousins Dean Anderson, Gerald Fry, and Marilyn Shull.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, one brother Joseph Fry, twin sister Ilene Houpt, sister Louise Benbow.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lewis Seward officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10th and from Noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Avoca Baptist Church.

Ruby Edna Wallheiser – Bedford
Ruby Edna Wallheiser, 106, of Bedford, died at 1:00 am on Friday, February 06, 2015 at Johnson’s Christian Village.
Born September 7, 1908 in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Fred and Pearl (Whithman) Book. She married Thomas Wallheiser on November 28, 1934 and he preceded her in death. She retired from Sears & Roebuck and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Bennett of San Diego CA; two grandchildren, Kara Barnett and husband, Steven and Douglas Temple all of San Diego, CA; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Louis Montgomery, Gertrude Bickenheuser and Helen Wever and a brother, Walter Book.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 11th at the First Christian Church in Bedford with Rev. Alan Cloar officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
