Mareen Lambton – Mooresville
Mareen Lambton, of Mooresville, died Monday, August 4th at 10:30 pm at her residence.
Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Evelyn Winkel – Elnora
Evelyn Winkel, 93, of Elnora, went to her heavenly home on August 2, 2014 at 5:54 p.m. at her home.
Born in Shoals, on August 31, 1920, she was the daughter of ORville and Christie (Batchelor) Allbright. Evelyn married Elmer Winkel on December 19, 1936. She was an Ordained Lay Minister with the Wesleyan Church and she continued to serve the church after he husband’s passing in 1973. She was also a homemaker and greatly enjoyed reading.
She is survived by one daughter, Diana (Kenneth) Bays, of Elnora; four sons Robert (Norma) Winkel, of Somerville, Wilson (Jane) Winkel, of Jasper, Daniel (Melba) Winkel, of Elnora, Jack (Jill) Winkel, of Plainville; one brother Ronald (Fay) Allbright, of Shoals; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; one daughter Karen in infancy; grandson Anthony Winkel; one sister Novella Luck and two brothers Robert and Ray Morris Allbright.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will be made in Spring Hill Cemetery.

William Amos Jones – Bedford
William Amos Jones, 89, of Bedford, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at White River Lodge, Bedford.
Born July 3, 1925 in Oolitic, Indiana, he was the son of Dillard G. and Mildred (Temple) Jones. He married Wilma C. Miller on March 15, 1947; and she preceded him in death in 2003. He was a retired maintenance worker at United Technology in Mitchell, IN. He attended First Church of God, Bedford. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, in World War II, Seaman First Class.
Surviving include one son, William Andrew (Sandra) Jones, of Indiana; three daughters, Catherine Sue (Paul) Korp, of Tennessee, Connie (Stephen) Watson, of Virginia, and Colleen Stallard, of Indiana; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny and Leroy Jones, both of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, wife, three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Bruce Becker officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Burial rites will be conducted by American Legion Gillen Post 33. Friends may call on Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
