Penny Sue Johnson – Bedford
Penny Sue Johnson, 68, of Bedford, died at 9:30 am on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born January 25, 1945 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Richard and Della E. (Strunk) Hughes. She married Bill Johnson on December 19, 1981 and he preceded her in death. She was a retired property manager in Indianapolis.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Wade of Bedford; two sons, Dennis and David Gregory both of Bedford; a step-son, Jimmie Johnson and wife, Kathy of Iowa; a brother, Pastor Bennie Sutherland and wife, Jane of Ohio; a granddaughter, Dana M. Wade of Bedford; three step-grandchildren, Erica Scott, Renae Kleinow and Roberta Perkins; three step great-grandchildren, Brittany and D.J. Scott, Trevor Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Darrell (Tony) Gregory.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 18th at Patton Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bennie Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow.

Albert W. Bert Younger – Bedford
Albert W. “Bert” Younger, 94, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at his residence at 9:45 a.m.. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.
Born January 7, 1920 in Lawrence County, Indiana, he was the son of Carl and Sylvia (Wever) Younger.
He married Emma Jewell (Perkins) Younger on July 18, 1947; and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2006.
He had previously worked at Farm Bureau Feed Store. He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the U.S. Army 757th Battalion during World War II. He was a 68 year member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33 and the Heltonville Area Veterans. He was also a member of New Hope Community Church. He was an avid gardener.
Surviving are one daughter, Julie (Michael) Hetteberg, of Dublin, OH; one son, Joe David Younger, of Newark, OH; three grandchildren, David Stebnicki, Christopher (Amber) Hetteberg, and Mallory Younger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother Thomas; and three sisters Mary Alice, Juanita, and Dorothy.
Cremation was chosen and there will be a memorial service held at a later date.
