Eunice Marie Harp Reuter – Bedford
Eunice Marie Harp Reuter, 92, of Bedford, passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born March 24, 1920 in Matton, Ill., she was the daughter of Charlie and Zira (George) Harp. She married Charles D. Reuter on May 27, 1938 and he preceded her in death on June 1, 1990. She was a graduate of Marion College and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and teacher. She and Charles traveled to Israel twice. She addressed the Indiana join legislature in the 70s.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Jane Crandall and husband George, of Magnolia Springs, AL, Jo Hannah Edwards and husband, Ronald, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Crandall, of Chicago, Amy Baratta and husband Joe, of New Jersey, Andrew Edwards and wife Karen, of Bloomington, Hannah Winegar and husband Jason, of Charlestown, SC; six great grandchildren, Alex and Caroline Baratta, Abby and Lilly Winegar, Charlie and Emily Edwards; one sister, Helen Hall, of NC; one brother, Charles Harp Jr., of Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Hazel Flinn.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
