Gerald R. Porter of Mitchell passed away Thursday night at his home at the age of 77.
Born in 1931 in Washington County to Harry and Margaret Porter, Gerald was a retiree from Lehigh Cement, farmer, and member of Fishing Creek Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Dellana, children Richard, Billy, John, Sandra, and Tigger, stepsons Travis and Jason, brothers Leonard, Harry Jr., Virgil and Walter, sister Mary, 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dorothy, daughter Ruth, sisters Agnes, Beatrice and Marie, and brother Elmer.
Graveside services were held this morning at 10:00am at Talbott Cemetery with burial following.
