Snow Blankets Southern Indiana Region

(BEDFORD) - Snow pounded much of Southern Indiana overnight.

Highway crews around the region from the Indiana-Ohio border all the way to Evansville fought heavy snow to try and keep the roads cleared.

Areas like Lawrence County were expecting several inches of snow and parts of the state were under a winter storm warning for Saturday.

Monroe County received 2.5 to 3 inches of snow whereas areas south received much more. Lawrence County received 6 to 7 inches and Orange County received 9 inches of snow in the last 24 hours.

A winter storm warning continues for Lawrence County residents until 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon.
