Traffic stop leads to an arrest in Fulton County

FULTON CO. – Tuesday morning, May 22, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Trooper Adrianna Ward was patrolling US 31 south of Rochester City when she stopped the driver of a 2019 Ford for driving 102 mph.

The driver was identified as Michael John Rogers, 29, of Dyer. Rogers displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. Further investigation revealed the driver had a preliminary BrAC of .177%. Rogers was arrested and taken to the Fulton County Jail.

Rogers is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, OWI endangerment, reckless driving, and driving while his driver’s license was suspended with a prior conviction.
