BLOOMINGTON – Congratulations to Sergent Amy Romoser of the Bloomington Police Department for being the recipient of the 2023 Officer of the Year Award presented by the Northside Exchange Club.
Sgt. Romoser has been an integral part of BPD’s Downtown Resource Officer (DRO) program for several years. She now supervises the DRO program and the department’s Community Service Specialists (CSS) program.
Sgt. Romoser was specifically recognized for her work with and for the unhoused members of our community and her ability to build partnerships with other service providers.
She is appreciated by both her peers and community members for her compassion, leadership, communication skills, and composure she brings to any situation
