Obituary: Darra Nicole (Turner) Jones

December 4, 1980 – April 24, 2023

Darra Nicole Jones of Bedford sadly passed away on April 24, 2023.

Darra was born December 4, 1980, to parents Jeff Turner of Bedford and Denise (Benjamin-Cain) Walker of Norman.

Darra worked for Schulz Painting in Bloomington for many years, however, that wasn’t her only occupation.  Darra was also a farmer with a love for being outdoors.  If she wasn’t at her job, she could most likely be found with her husband, Mike Jones, somewhere on their farm checking for new calves, fixing something that needed mending, or simply enjoying nature.  In nature was her favorite place to be. Having grown up with horses her whole life, she, fortunately, was able to spend a lot of her free time exactly where she wanted to be, from childhood on.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Jones of Bedford; her daughter, Madison Schulz; son, Taylor Cundiff; mother, Denise (Ron) Walker of Norman; father, Jeff (Raquel) Turner of Bedford, sister, Barbie Roberts; nephew Drew Roberts and niece Anna Roberts; step brother Brant Ray of Indianapolis; grandparents, Ray (Terry) Benjamin of California, Nancy Rollins of Bedford, and Michael (Janice) Cain, also of Bedford.  She of course also has a few aunts, uncles, and cousins that will miss her terribly.

Darra was preceded in death by her sister, Heather Marie Turner; her grandparents, Wendell and Marian
Turner; and Aunt Candace.
