Be aware of increased delays on Harding Street/State Road 37

INDIANA – For those who use Harding Street/State Road 37, be aware of increased delays and congestion near I-465 starting Tuesday night.

Finish Line crews are removing the I-465 bridges over Harding Street, which will impact traffic and multiple lanes underneath. Lane closures will give crews room to work in the median on Harding Street.

The following restrictions will be in place for the remainder of the construction season:

  • Southbound Harding Street will be restricted to one through lane and one left-turn lane under I-465 beginning Wednesday, April 12. Be aware as crews put down temporary striping.
  • Northbound Harding Street will be restricted to one through lane and one left-turn lane under I-465 starting Thursday, April 13.
  • Lane restrictions along Harding Street will be long-term and heavy congestion is expected.

The project team will monitor conditions and adjust traffic signals accordingly to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible, but increased congestion and delays are expected in the area.  Variable message boards will inform motorists so they can avoid the area if possible.

Like many Hoosiers, I-69 Finish Line is also doing some spring cleaning. A newly refreshed website debuts today. The new website highlights various segments of construction, showcases project team members in the Employee Spotlight section, and much more. Be sure to visit I69FinishLine.com to check out its new look and features.

One special feature on the refurbished website is the “Before and After” photo section.  You’ll be able to see visual proof of the progress that has been made along the corridor over the past couple of years.

Make sure you are following @I69FinishLine on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram, and text “INDOT FINISH” to “468311” to receive text message updates.
