A traffic stop leads to the arrest of a suspect on a robbery warrant

KNIGHTSTOWN – Sunday morning, troopers from the Indiana State Police Pendleton District stopped a passenger vehicle for a speeding infraction and discovered the driver was wanted out of Oklahoma for Robbery.

On March 19, 2023, around 9 a.m., Master Trooper Jeff Culley was patrolling Interstate 70 near the 116-mile marker (Knightstown exit).  While checking the speed of vehicles, Trooper Culley radared a maroon Subaru above the posted speed limit.  A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Wilmer M. Guerrero, 22, of Columbus, Ohio.  During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that Guerrero was wanted on an active warrant out of Oklahoma.  

Wilmer M. Guerrero was arrested and transported to the Henry County Jail for operating a vehicle without a license and will be extradited back to Oklahoma to face the robbery charge.
