Mary K. McAfee, 91, of Bedford, passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, at White River Lodge.
Born September 30, 1931, in Springville, she was the daughter of Howard and Levedah (Rollins) Lewis. She was retired having worked at Stonebridge Health Campus and in the North Lawrence Community School System for 14 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary for 50+ years.
Survivors included two daughters, Linda George and Melody Cline, both of Bedford; a grandson, Jonathan Cline; a sister, Jane Hoseman, of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Rose Oswald and Wilma Beeson, and a grandson, Christopher George.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Duane Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
