Kentucky women arrested by ISP after I-65 pursuit

TIPPECANOE CO. – On Feb. 17, 2023, just after 3 p.m., Indiana State Police Radio Region 1 Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call of a vehicle driving recklessly northbound on Interstate 65.

Trooper McCormick located a vehicle matching the description northbound on Interstate 65 near the 169 mile marker. McCormick attempted to stop a 2012 Ford Flex, driven by Viktori Pickett, 24, from Louisville, KY, for traveling over 100 mph in a 65 mph zone. Pickett failed to stop for McCormick and fled northbound on I-65.

McCormick continued to pursue the Ford northbound to the 178 mile marker, where troopers had a tire deflation device set up across the road. Pickett stopped before hitting the tire deflation device and was safely taken into custody. Pickett was transported to Tippecanoe County Jail.

– Viktori Pickett, 24, from Louisville, KY

  1. Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle – Level 6 Felony
  2. Reckless Driving – Class C Misdemeanor

McCormick was assisted on the scene by other troopers from the Lafayette Post.
