Marion man arrested on possession of child pornography charges

MARION – Thursday morning, a criminal investigation by officers from the Indiana State Police, the Howard County Sheriff’s Department, and the Marion Police Department resulted in the arrest of William Zoeller, 73, of Marion.

Zoeller was incarcerated in the Grant County Jail to face two level five felony charges for possession of child pornography.

Officers initiated a criminal investigation after receiving numerous tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Zoeller might have nude images of children. During the investigation, officers developed probable cause to obtain a Grant Superior Court II search warrant for Zoeller’s home at 1435 N Lexington Road, Marion, IN. During their search, and forensic examination of Zoeller’s computer, officers allegedly found images of child pornography.

If the public has information about exploited children, they are asked to report it by calling the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
