  • 2:35 p.m. A person was at the station to report an accident with a vehicle leaving the scene in the 400 block of N Street

Incidents – Feb. 1

  • 12:29 a.m. Report of a vehicle fire at State Road 37 and Pinewood Drive. Marshall Volunteer Fire Department responded 
  • 12:42 p.m. An information report was taken in the 2000 block of State Road 37. The caller needed her car jumped and does not have money for a wrecker service. The woman contacted a friend to help her
  • 1:31 a.m. Warrant service in the 1000 block of G Street
  • 1:55 a.m. Warrant service in the 700 block of S Street
  • 2:03 a.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 1000 block of Bryantsville Road
  • 3:10 a.m. Traffic stop at East Main and North 2nd streets

  • 9:25 p.m. A Mitchell male reported a posible hostage situation in the 500 block of North 8th Street. There was no issue

  • 10:37 p.m. Traffic stop at Hoosier Avenue at Dollens Elementary
  • 10:56 p.m. 911 call in the 3000 block of Phaedrus Road in Poland, Indiana reporting a possible suicidal person. Owen County Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 10:49 p.m. Report of a possible chimney fire in the 5000 block of South 5th Street in Mitchell. Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished
