INDems statement honoring Black History Month

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today issued the following statement by Chair Mike Schmuhl and Vice Chair Myla Eldridge.

“As we begin Black History Month, the Indiana Democratic Party honors the countless contributions and sacrifices made by African Americans in shaping our state and nation’s history. From the fight for civil rights to the ongoing struggle for social and economic justice, the Black community has been at the forefront of progress and change. We pay homage to the trailblazers who paved the way for future generations and recommit ourselves to the work of creating a more equitable and just society. Let us celebrate and learn from the rich heritage and culture of African Americans and work towards a brighter future for all Hoosiers,” said Mike Schmuhl and Myla Eldridge, Chair and Vice Chair of the Indiana Democratic Party.
