  • 6:03 p.m. Michael Simmons, 35, Bedford, dealing and possession of marijuana, neglect of a dependant, wanted on a warrant for failure to appear

Incidents – January 27

  • 12:10 a.m. Agency assist with Monroe County Sheriff’s Department in pursuit at Old Farm Road, just past State Road 58. The vehicle was stopped and a male was detained
  • 12:36 a.m. Traffic stop at 16th Street and Central Avenue. The driver was given a citation for speeding
  • 12:38 a.m. Report of a dead deer in the roadway in the 3000 block of Mount Pleasant Road
  • 12:58 a.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at State Road 158 and Herd Lane
  • 2:16 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, north of Salt Creek bridge. The driver was given a verbal warning for an equipment violation
  • 4:24 a.m. 911 call in the 70 block of North Meridian Road. It was an accidental call

  • 7:09 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 1000 block of South Sandstone Road. It was an accidental call
  • 8:37 a.m. Request for a canine officer at the jail
  • 8:53 a.m. 911 call reporting a truck was stolen. No address was listed on the log

  • 9:23 a.m. Request for animal control in the 4000 block of Old Farm Road for two cattle in the roadway
  • 9:34 a.m. Bedford Police reported a green 1998 Dodge Dakota truck was stolen from the 2000 block of U Street between 10:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. this morning. The vehicle has a Handyman magnet on the side, a ladder rack, a red toolbox and there is a dent on the top of the bed on the driver’s side
  • 10:31 a.m. 911 call in the 1000 block of 16th Street
  • 11:08 a.m. Controlled fire in the 200 block of Fortner Lane
  • 11:24 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 1000 block of Twin Ponds Road. It was a false alarm
  • 11:24 a.m. Request for a welfare check at the Shell station on a man slouched over a steering wheel. The vehicle was gone when the police arrived
  • 11:35 a.m. Follow-up investigation at the station
  • 11:45 a.m. 911 call reporting a woman was yelling for help in the 1000 block of T Street. Bedford Police were alerted
  • 12:11 p.m. Report of a suspicious person at West Oak and North 5th streets in Mitchell. A man was stopping people asking for rides and banging on windows
  • 12:31 p.m. 911 call in the 2000 block of Brinegar Boulevard. Bedford Police were alerted
  • 1:04 p.m. 911 call in the 400 block of North Franklin Street. Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded
  • 1:20 p.m. Theft reported in the 1000 block of Camelot Court
  • 1:28 p.m. Follow-up investigation in the 2000 block of O Street
  • 1:44 p.m. Report of a missing person in the 500 block of West Warren Street. A woman reported her husband has been missing for about a month. He was last seen in Mitchell. The woman reported the man is homeless. Officers checked several locations for the male. He was found at the laundry mat in Mitchell and was okay
  • 1:44 p.m. Officers delivered a death notification in the 1000 block of Rariden Hill Road from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department
  • 1:54 p.m. Follow-up investigation in the 40 block of Russell Drive
  • 2:01 p.m. Protective order violation reported at the jail. An inmate was contacting a person in violation of that order
  • 2:47 p.m. Agency assist in the 1000 block of L Street on a traffic stop

  • 5:36 p.m. Citizen assist in the 400 block of Helmar Drive. The woman reported the trailer she reported stolen and found her ex sold it and now the company is trying to make her pay for it
  • 5:44 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Patton Hill Road
  • 6:03 p.m. Warrant service in the 300 block of Old State Road 37. A male was detained. Officers searched the home after obtaining a signed search warrant. A female was then detained
  • 6:03 p.m. Traffic stop in the 900 block of Constitution Avenue. The driver was issued a verbal warning for an equipment violation
  • 8:22 p.m. 911 call hang up in the 2000 block of Mount Pleasant Road. It was an accidental call

  • 9:43 p.m. A person was at the station to report a domestic fight in the 4000 block of Bartlettsville Road
