Save the date: Becky’s Place Shelterbration event coming March 4

BEDFORD – Join Becky’s Place on March 4, as they host their annual Shelterbration event, a fundraiser for the group which will include food and live music.

The event is the primary fundraiser for Becky’s Place, which provides services to more than 80 homeless women and children, helping them find sustainable living situations.

“This event is the primary fundraiser for Becky’s Place and is critical to sustaining our presence in Bedford.  The money raised directly cares not only for the 80-plus women and children that live with us each year but also provides support for the 2-3 community members who call us each day asking for assistance with food, shelter, and clothing,” said Cheri Bush, Development Director for Becky’s Place.

“Becky’s Place is known throughout the community as an essential resource and we very much rely upon the strong support of local churches, businesses, and volunteers to keep our costs low and our doors open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We are so grateful to the loving community of Bedford for their support,” she continued.

The event will feature a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, Becky’s Place Awards, residents’ success stories, live music from My Yellow Rickshaw, and food by Carla’s Catering.

Individuals interested in volunteering can do so by contacting Ginny Fullen at 812-902-9190 or fullenginny@gmail.com Those interested in sponsorship or donating something for the auction can contact Cheri Bush at 317-236-1411 or cbush@archindy.org.
