Bedford Public Library has a host of February events

BEDFORD – The Bedford Public Library has a calendar of events for the public to attend during the month of February.

Every Monday, you can spend 20 minutes in a guided exercise to renew, recharge, and rejuvenate. The event begins at 10 a.m. at the library, located at 1323 K Street.

This February, love is for the birds. Pick up a Love Birds kit on February 1 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. to learn about our flying friends and make a bird feeder for them to enjoy at your house. Visit the Children and Teens floor to grab your free kit while supplies last.

Beat the winter blues and bring a little ocean breeze beach vibe into your home on February 6 at 10 a.m. while supplies last. Create a lovely set of nautical rope coasters for yourself or as a Valentine’s Day gift with this kit in Adult Services.

On February 9 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., you can learn about Digital Photography for Beginners. Many want to pick up the hobby of photography but have no idea what is needed or where to start. During this event, those attending will learn about the basics of photography, cameras and visual composition to get started. All beginning photographers are welcome to attend and bring your camera.

Join library staff for Pre-K Discovery: Will You Be My Valentine? This event is for children ages 5 and under. Registration is required. To register, call the Library at 812-275-4471. There are two available sessions, on February 14 at 10 a.m. or February 16 at 10 a.m.

Join library staff on February 23 at 10 a.m. for a good morning stretch. Whether you prefer to stretch on the floor or use a chair to adapt the movements, all poses will be demonstrated. Follow along with a simple yoga flow at your own level and pace in a relaxed and low-pressure environment. Beginners are encouraged to attend, but everybody is welcome. You can register by clicking here.

Test your knowledge of movies from the 60s, 70s, and 80s on February 28 at 6 p.m. Enjoy an evening of trivia, popcorn, and the company of other movie enthusiasts at the library.
