Man wanted on a warrant now facing new drug charges

BEDFORD – On Monday at approximately 4:31 p.m. a Bedford Police officer noticed 38-year-old Jeremiah Johnson, of Williams, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, walking south on K Street, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Police said they recognized Johnson, stopping him outside of Stonecutters Place Apartments, where he was detained for his prior warrant. 

In Johnson’s possession, the officer said he found illegal narcotics including baggies containing methamphetamine, marijuana and a folded paper towel containing pills.

In his bag, police found a folded piece of paper containing heroin and more pills. Additionally, police said they found found rolled marijuana cigarettes in his cigarette package.

Johnson was arrested on the outstanding warrant for petition to revoke, as well as new charges of possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
