Obituary: Lyman Garland Stultz

June 11, 1963 – December 23, 2022

Lyman Garland Stultz, 59, of Bedford, passed away at 5:19 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022.

Born June 11, 1963, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Ralph G. and Patty L. (Wagoner) Stultz. He married Lisa Pruett and she survives. He was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School with the class of 1981. He then attended Lincoln Technical where he studied auto mechanics. He was a professional truck driver for Spreen and Sons Trucking and an active member of the Hillcrest Christian Church where he served on the security team. He was always there with a warm handshake and a helping hand.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa, of Bedford; his mother, Patty Stultz, of Bedford; daughter, Lindsay Brooke Pruett, of Seymour, son, Lyman Luke Stultz and wife, Keri, of Mitchell, daughter, Lauren Leigh Nicole Vincent and husband, Derek, of Greene Co.; nine grandchildren, Lana, Brooklynne, Délyn, Brayten, Kaycee, Jax, Jairus, Elias, and Tatum; sisters, Roxana M. Oliver, of Bedford and Charity L. Avera and husband, David, of Missouri City, TX; brother-in-law, Brian Scott Pruett, of Orleans and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Stultz; grandparents, Lyman and Doris Wagoner, Raymond and Eula Stultz.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31st at Hillcrest Christian Church with Mark Fugate and Lyman Luke Stultz officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Regular Baptist Cemetery in Silverville. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30th, and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday all at the Hillcrest Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Christian Church or to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
