A woman was arrested on a drug charge after a report of an erratic driver

BEDFORD – A Mitchell woman was arrested on Thursday after the Oolitic Town Marshal stopped a vehicle after a report of an erratic driver in a red 200 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on State Road 37 at the intersection of Patton Hill Road.

Town Marshal James T. Harlington stopped the vehicle at the intersection of State Road 37 and US 50 West.

The Marshal reported the driver 58-year-old Tammy Still was driving erratically weaving inside her lane of travel and traveling onto the shoulder of the road several times. Law enforcement says her eyes were glassy and her pupils were constricted.

Still admitted to using meth the day before but claimed there were not any drugs in her vehicle at the time.

Canine Deny Joe alerted the Marshal to drugs in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, police found a white paper towel in Still’s purse that contained meth residue.

Still was detained on a charge of possession of meth.  Jackson’s Heavy Haul towed the vehicle.
