BEDFORD – Beginning January 1st PACE Community Action Agency’s customer service hours of operation will be 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays.
PACE Community Action is a private not-for-profit corporation committed to community development and providing services to low-income residents in Southwestern Indiana.
To improve communities PACE
- Develop and implement programs that assist individuals in personal development toward independence.
- Coordinate public, private and corporate resources focusing on the alleviation of poverty.
- Invest over $7.2 million back into our local economy through employment and purchasing local goods and services.
- Encourage self-reliance through a variety of programs offered to eliminate barriers that low-income households face daily.
PACE officials say this initiative will allow staff additional flexibility, as many employees will have a 4-day workweek.
Dr. Bertha Proctor, Pace CEO says research shows many staff in all industries are experiencing burnout which could negatively impact the individual and the customers served. She added the new hours will not reduce services, or the number of customers served.
