Tommy A. Moore Jr., 44, of Bedford, passed away on December 8, 2022, in Indianapolis.
Born December 20, 1977, he was the son of Thomas Alan Moore, Sr and Sherri, and Thomas Mays. He married Crystal Craig on March 24, 2019, and she survives.
Tommy was a graduate of Paoli High School in the class of 1997. He was in the United States Marine Corps for four years and served two tours in Iraq with the National Guard, serving a total of twelve years. Tommy was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Paoli and was a Heavy Equipment Operator for August Mack. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, loved fishing, hunting and camping, and he loved his country and was proud to have served it.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Tommy are his wife, Crystal Moore of Bedford; his parents, Sherri and Thomas Mays of Paoli; his daughter, Keilea Moore; stepdaughters Vanessa (Spencer) Mattox, Kimberly Walton, and Heather (Khortney) Walton; five grandchildren, Serinity, Paxton, Jaylee, Jacqueline and Elleigh; siblings, Mickey (Beth) Moore, Krystal (Cory) Griffith, Sara (David) Walters, and Matt Moore; seven nephews, Wyatt, Morgan, Tyler (Emma), Elijah, Shevan, Christian, and Anderson; two nieces, Ava and Marian; and his sister-in-law Chasity “Fred” (Tim) Jenkins.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas A. Moore, Sr.
Funeral services for Tommy A. Moore will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Carlton Cemetery in Bedford where Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post 33 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
