The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation, The Success School, seeks nominations for the 2023 Educator of the Year Awards

BLOOMINGTON – The Chamber’s Success School seeks nominations for the 22nd Annual Educator of the Year Awards Ceremony to be held on March 2. Teachers, program directors, counselors, administrators, instructional staff, and special programs from either Monroe County Community School Corporation or Richland Bean-Blossom Community School Corporation district county are eligible for this recognition.

“The Chamber’s Success School is inspired by the dedication of our area’s educators and is delighted to recognize their service, commitment, and enthusiasm,” said the Chamber’s Director of The Success School, Katie Sensabaugh. “MCCSC and RBBCSC schools are an integral part of our community—the teachers and programs offered to contribute to the quality of life here in Monroe County daily. We are honored to present these awards to such deserving educators each year.”

Nominations are due by January 9, 2023, to be eligible for consideration.

Award categories include Outstanding Educator Awards which recognize outstanding service and dedication to the field of education, fellow educators, and Monroe County youth; Leading Light Awards which recognize outstanding service and dedication with innovative or exemplary programs that enhance the education community; and the Lifetime Achievement Award which recognizes outstanding dedication and commitment to the field of education.

The Educator of the Year Awards program was established in 2001 to bring members of the business and education communities together while recognizing and celebrating outstanding contributions in the field of K-12 education. The highly coveted awards are given to individuals who have been nominated by school staff, parents, students, and the business community at the annual Educator of the Year Awards ceremony. A limited number of event sponsorships which include Title Sponsor ($3,750), Venue Sponsor ($2,500), Technology Sponsor ($1,500), and Partner Sponsor ($700), as well as individual tickets, are available and can be obtained by calling the Chamber at (812) 336-6381.
