Select roadways in Mitchell to have speed limits reduced to 20 mph following the City Council meeting Monday night

MITCHELL – The Mitchell City Council voted to reduce the speed limit to 20 miles per hour along certain city streets Monday night, with plans to place new speed limit signs along the roadways in the coming weeks.

The initial motion was raised by Mitchell Mayor Nathan Jenkins of the consistent speeding he has either witnessed or been made aware of along the route currently under construction with the High School’s capital project during the September City Council meeting.
