Structure replacement to close State Road 56 in Scott County

SCOTT CO.  Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. plans to close State Road 56 for up to 30 days starting on or after Wednesday, November 2, for a box culvert replacement project in Scott County.

Crews will be working just under two miles east of State Road 39 near Finley Firehouse Road.

Traffic will be detoured along State Road 56 to the Salem Bypass, to S.R. 60 and I-65. The project was initially scheduled to take place in October. Most recent communications stated that the project was postponed to 2023, but will now take place in November.
