MITCHELL – Mitchell Mayor J.D. England has announced his intent to step down as mayor, effective Friday, October 28th, 2022.
In a News Release sent by Mayor England, he shares that a career opportunity has come about for him and his family that he could not pass up, leading to his resignation.
Mayor England’s term is set to end on December 31st, 2023, and there is currently no word on who will fill the Mayor’s position for the remaining 14 months.
