Police arrested 55-year-old Christina Flick on a charge of theft.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on September 13, 2022, Bedford Police were alerted to a theft that occurred at the store. Police say Flick left the store without paying for her items on September 8, 2022.

On September 8, an asset protection investigator noticed Flick walking across the parking lot with a clothes hamper with items inside that were not bagged. Once back in the store the investigator began reviewing the security video and noticed it was the same woman involved in six other theft cases.

On September 8, Flick parked her SUV outside of the store. She shopped in the store and made several selections from the home, pets, and grocery areas. She then proceeded to a self-checkout register. She is caught on video using a UPC from a hand towel, instead of the UPC on three higher-priced items. She also hand-keyed a UPC for a cheaper bag of dog food instead of the much higher-priced dog food.

The total amount of theft in this translation was $105.82.

Police contacted Flick who finally admitted to switching UPCs. She also admitted she had done this in previous visits to Walmart. She then asked to pay Walmart back, however Walmart officials would not accept payment from Flick.

The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for Flick’s arrest.
