IU’s Bloomington chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha issued a cease and desist order

BLOOMINGTON – Indiana University’s Bloomington chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity was issued a cease and desist effective Monday, according to IU’s list of organizations on disciplinary status.

Cease and desist, means the fraternity is not allowed to host, attend, or participate in social events, recruitment activities, philanthropy events, or brotherhood/sisterhood events.

Indiana University Director of Media Relations, Chuck Carney said the investigation is ongoing in collaboration with the Pi Kappa Alpha headquarters.

This marks the second time PI Kappa Alpha has been placed on cease and desist in 2022, the first instance occurred in April after allegations of behavior that may have caused harm to members of the organization or the community, according to Carney.
